White lighters

So it seems that Hendrix, Morrison, Joplin and Jones each had a white lighter in their possession according to the autopsy report. 

The theory is discredited by the fact that Jim Morrison was found in the bath and also that the myth suggested it was a BIC lighter (which weren't invented until 1974). We are investigating further.

The number of death...

Jakob Boehme a German theologist called the number 27 as 'the death.'  He died in 1624.

Unproven?

Research published in The British Medical Journal in 2011 concluded that despite the myths, statistically musicians were not more at risk of dying at 27. Firstly shouldn't they be curing cancer something?  Secondly no Doctor I ever met could measure the effect of a wah wah pedal on 60,000 music fans and thirdly - I can't remember thirdly but I'm sure it was important.
