This website was created in 2007 by founder SP as the first fan site in the world dedicated to the 27ers. After reading a book about the life of Jim Morrison, he discovered the myth and wanted to know more. But there wasn't anything, other than a few notes on Wikipedia. So he created www.forever27.co.uk not to sensationalise the tragedy, to celebrate the achievements, creativity - and above all - the music.

The 27 club is a mystery and a modern myth; musicians who predicted their own deaths, victims who had matching white lighters and a soundtrack that influenced generations of fans, musicians and culture. 

Note from the Founder

I hope you enjoy the site and thanks for being patient as we make the changes we need to do the Forever 27 Club justice. We've been juggling this around day jobs so it's taken a while, but we're getting there. Sorry we've not been able to answer all the emails. We WILL get around to them. Long term plan is to raise some money for music/mental health charities. If you represent one of these get in touch.
